Enjoying a long history of community involvement, Tobi Ash is the Founder of Miami’s Community Kosher Food Bank, the Helping Hands Ko-op,  President of a free loan fund, Aryeh Leib Gemach, a member of Step Up for Students, Florida Impact, Former Chair of the Vocational and Rehabilitation committee of Jewish Community Services, Chair of the Volunteer Committee of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, a member of the Planning Committee of the Miami Beach JCC, serves as the nurse position of Health Care Committee of the City of Miami Beach and as a para-chaplain. She is the creator and Chair of the Mid-Beach Community Garden (also known as the Pine Tree Park Community Garden) and teaches how to create community gardens for the Florida Garden Club. When not at the garden, she is involved in a variety of other projects. Ash holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, a Master’s in Business Administration and is completing her PhD in Health Policy.  She has been married close to 30 years and is the mother of 4 children.
