Eliezra Ben-Yehuda Kassutto is the granddaughter of Eliezer Ben-Yehuda, the founder and pioneer of Modern Hebrew. She is an educator and lecturer who grew up under the wings and influence of the Ben-Yehuda family. Born in Jerusalem, at age 16 she came to New York to study. and received three advanced degrees including continuing Doctoral Studies at Columbia University Teachers College. Her educational career encompassed the creation of learning materials, supervision of teachers and students, and providing workshops for teachers in art, drama and dance. In 2003 Kassutto published a book in Hebrew entitled From Sunrise to Sunset about Jerusalem, her family and her childhood.
