Storytelling Workshop: Everyone Has a Story, What's Yours?

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Storytelling is the backbone of Jewish tradition. It's also the way we, as human beings, communicate our individual experiences. Guided by expert storyteller and creator of Lip Service (True Stories Out Loud), participants will delve into their memories, bringing out what is universal from the specific. We will excavate these stories with writing exercises and prompts, including questions about childhood, a single word, scent associations, sounds, etc. Writing will be read out loud and workshopped in this double session, enabling us to create art out of experience. Ultimately, we'll find that the job of a good story is to remind us we're not alone.
