Creating Modern Midrash: A Creative Writing Experience

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Underneath the words of the Torah are hidden layers of meaning. Through the ages, they have been brought to life by Midrash—stories which explain and enhance the text enabling us to further understand what is written.  One of the best ways to connect with the Torah and take ownership of the text is to write your own midrash. In this presentation, participants will explore how to search for multiple layers of meaning and then create their own unique connections to the Torah.
