Food and Holiness: From Farm to Table

Every day we sit down for one of the most human, and potentially most holy, activities of our lives—eating. Our Sages, from the rabbis of the Talmud to the Hasidic masters, understood the potential of that moment and surrounded the mundane act of eating with lessons and rituals that give us the choice of elevating the act of eating to holy heights. During the course of this discussion we will consider some key teachings designed to help us experience the simple act of approaching a meal in a fresh way.
