Many of Hip Hop's pioneers were Jewish, including Steve Rifkind, the owner of Spring Records, the label that released the first rap record of all time. Later, Rick Rubin produced and introduced to the world Adam Yauch, Adam Horovitz, Mike Diamond & Michael Schwartz a.k.a. The Beastie Boys. Through innovation and collaboration, Jewish people have shaped Hip Hop culture and played a substantial role in moving Hip Hop into the mainstream.
