Songs Jewish Folk Sing From All Over the Jewish World

Explore a variety of songs from across the Jewish world, specifically those that have crossed community and philosophical boundaries. From Chassidic shtieblach, Jewish summer camps, Birthright busses and Tzahal (Israel Defense Forces) dining rooms, these are songs that have the greatest potential to brings Jews and Jewish communities closer. We will sing and discuss the background of melodies and tunes from composers such as Ben Zion Shenker, Shlomo Carlebach, Debbie Friedman, Yosef Karduner, Sheva, plus the Jewish connection in songs from the likes of Leadbelly, Bob Marley, and Pete Seeger.
