Loving Your Body: A Jewish Value

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

In a world of seemingly endless pressure to achieve bodily perfection (particularly here in South Florida!), how does Jewish tradition instill a love of self and a love for our bodies?  This text-based session will explore the Jewish ethical imperative to love and care for our bodies.  What does it mean to live in the "Image of God?"  How does Judaism define beauty?  How does our tradition understand the relationship between the body and the soul? Together we will delve into an embodied Jewish ethic of self-acceptance.
